Prison for me wasn’t a place of punishment, but an opportunity to become the man of God I was created to be!

I spent nine years of my life incarcerated serving a 99 year sentence. Fortunately, I made the greatest decision of my life when I embraced Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord! This started my life on a new path that gave me hope for a better and brighter future. I can earnestly say that those were the most redefining years of my life. I was transformed into a new man that I never believed was possible.

After about four years of my incarceration, growing as a new creation in Christ, God called me to the ministry. From that time until now (2025), I’m still committed to that call. I’ve been out of prison for 22 years, and my passion and desire is still to do the work of the kingdom.

Since my time of release, I’ve had the honor to fulfill my calling through volunteering in other ministries: (1) Preaching at the Austin Baptist Chapel (Soup kitchen) since 2003 until 2025. (2) Taught biblical life lessons to the men at Texas Reach Out Ministries for 12 years, and was hired as Director Of Men Services for a season in 2019/2020. (3) Preached and taught biblical lessons at the Travis State Jail for about 10 years under the God of Hope Ministries. (4) Conducted biblical mentorship sessions at A New Entry (a faith based organization) in 2022. Not to mention other great opportunities I’ve had to do ministry.

At the end of 2022, I was given the charge by God to start Biblical Life Ministry. A ministry that focuses on equipping and empowering believers to walk in their Christ-identity, potential, and purpose.

My life in Christ has been an amazing and challenging journey! A journey that has given me the opportunity to grow and experience life as a Christian for 31 years as of 2025, married to my beautiful wife for 20 years (with our son who is 18years old), and doing minister for 27 years. There’s no doubt that my life is a living testimony of the transforming power of Jesus Christ! Be sure to check out my testimony!

Just because you have a past you’re not proud of, and a stigma that’s associated with your name, doesn’t mean that you can’t live a successful life. On the contrary, because you are a new creation in Christ, you are more than capable of living a successful life regardless of how society see you.

The truth is, there isn’t any situation you face in life that you can’t overcome as a child of God! However, there are three foundational principles you must keep as a daily practice:

1. Keep your relationship with Christ biblically intact.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. (5)“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (Jn 15:4-5)

2. Trust God and His word to lead and guide your thoughts and actions in every area of your life.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; (6) In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Pro 3:5-6)

3. Build relationships with other believers that see life from a biblical perspective, and live their lives guided by biblical principles.

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed. (Prov 13:20) Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. (Phi 3:17)
